Next day, after breakfast,depart to After the Rains, in Wayanad. After the Rains is a ten villa rainforest resort which overlooks the Nilgiri biosphere in the Western ghats. Stay in the kokum villa,enjoying the scents, sights and sounds of the neighbouring forest. Amble around the plantation or join Paul, the naturalist, for a village walk through the lush flora with a binocular in hand, spotting the scores of birds and mammals that we share the space with. Take a dip in the pool or hook a bait in the fishing pond. Or, borrow a book and laze around in the pavilion, listening to the sounds of umpteen birds in the locality. Check into Harivihar ,a170 year old heritage homestead , dedicated to ayurveda wellness, yoga and culture. Experience the fascinating architecture with its elegant minimalism. Next day after breakfast, proceed to Tathatha, a solitary beach house, sitting upon a small hillock facing the Arabian sea in Moodady,a forty minute drive from Calicut. Tathatha is meant for only one couple at a time, being a single key property and has a 700 square feet bedroom cum living room with verandah and windows opening out to the sea. There is a fully furnished kitchen alongwith, where you could cook lunch or dinner yourself, or, if you are too lazy to cook, order from the nearby restaurants over phone, from where they will deliver at doorstep.
